Chocolate Messy Play with an Easter Twist

Easter is SPRINGING round the corner

We are springing into our Eggstravaganza party this April where your little chicks can have some messy spring themed fun with egg rolling, Easter rice and feathers. Or explore nature at its messy best with gloopy ducks, bunny tails, and spaghetti bird nests. Of course, no spring party would be complete without a classic Easter egg hunt.

All you have to do is come along and mess around, and leave the cleaning up to us! So check out our website to see if a messy play Easter session is coming to a venue near you!

Or why not have a peek below at some ideas of how you can have some fun at home and enjoy messy play with your toddler using your leftover chocolate eggs.

CHOCOLATE CLOUD DOUGH

What you will need

All you need to make this delectable chocolate treat is 3 things:

  • Flour
  • Oil
  • Cocoa Powder

Cloud dough is so much fun to make at home and your little ones can have hours of fun exploring the texture, and of course by adding in the extra cocoa powder you get an amazing smelling chocolate treat too. Simply add flour and oil until you get a mouldable texture. The great thing with cloud dough is you can squish it together but then also crumble it back to its original state.

Add in as much cocoa powder as you like  and away you go!

CHOCOLATE GLOOP

Now for our classic Mess Around gooey slime recipe that we use all year round in our Messy Play Sessions. It’s such a hit with kids (and grown-ups) of all ages, and it’s really easy for you to make for messy play at home.

What you will need

All you need to make this super messy gloop recipe is:

  • Water
  • Cocoa Powder
  • Cornflour (not essential but can help thicken the texture)

Simply mix your cocoa powder with water and whisk until all your lumps are gone. Be warned- this is super messy but look how much fun you can have digging, scooping and pouring the chocolate mess!
