Franchise Story: Bringing the mess to Central and East Manchester
We are thrilled to announce that we have a NEW leader for Mess Around Central & East Manchester. Let’s all give a big Mess Around wave to Alice who will be launching her first event in June 2019.
Alice, her husband and her two boys, Ralf (4 years old) and Flynn (9 months old), were all avid fans of Mess Around sessions, but were having to travel quite a distance to reach their closest sessions, so she decided to take the leap into owning her own business and set up sessions in her local area.
I took a big leap back in 2001, when I moved to the North after leaving university. I met my husband and we moved to North East Manchester in 2009 and moved to the beautiful hills of the Pennines.
I have always loved working with children, having worked as an Art Teacher in various schools around Manchester. I have even lived in Doha, Qatar in the Middle Easter for 3 years, which was an incredible experience.
Since having children, I was always keen to keep them busy at different events and classes. We loved attending Mess Around sessions- the creativity, textures, sensations, colours and of course, the MESS. My children could explore in a safe environment. I always tried to let them get messy at home, but Mess Around provides so much more diversity and stimulating sensory play, that I just couldn’t replicate in my kitchen. And of course, when they were at an event, I didn’t need to do the cleaning up!
I realised that I was travelling quite a distance to reach my closest Mess Around Session and felt there was an opportunity to bring to more parents in the Manchester area- so I took the leap into investing in the franchise and started my Mess Around journey.
I am looking forward to meeting you all and bringing these wonderful sensory experiences to Central and East Manchester.
