Life’s A Beach- Our Mess Around team’s favourite beaches
We have been having a ball at our Life’s a Beach messy play events across the UK this month with all things summer.
Goldfish jelly, Ice cream, mushy pea sandcastles and of course lots of sand and water messy play activities to inspire your mess makers.
It got us thinking about holidays and our favourite beach spots to take the family so we asked some of our Mess Around family to share their memories of their favourite beach locations.
Here are a few of their memories:
Mara from Mess Around Nottingham– Acapulco, Mexico
I was born and bred here. A stunning place, full of childhood memories and amazing food. Most of my family and friends still live there, which makes it a real pleasure to visit and go down memory lane.
Tamara from Mess Around Northamptonshire– Lake McKenzie in Fraser Island in Queensland, Australia
We have fantastic memories spending Christmas day on Fraser Island and swimming in the crystal waters here. You have to be on dingo watch when you visit though!
Jade from Mess Around Worcestershire– Tenby, Pembrokeshire
We have some lovely family memories at Tenby flying kites, splashing in the sea and of course, making sand mermaids!
Rachelle from Mess Around West Suffolk– West Runton
We love West Runton beach as it has everything you need for a trip to the seadside. Sand, Rock pools and cliffs. We spent our first family father’s Day there too.
Alanna from Mess Around South Yorkshire– Mahè – Seychelles
Mahè – Seychelles has a special place in our hearts- its where me & Antonio eloped to get married! Private beach just the two of us!
Emma from Mess Around Aberdeenshire– Fraserburgh Beach
We are so lucky to have Fraserburgh Beach right on my door step. It’s a beautiful beach and Lennox loves it too.
Sarah from Mess Around West Yorkshire– Sandbanks in Poole, Dorset
Sandbanks has 7 miles of sand and beautiful clear sea. I grew up there and go back regularly and have some awesome childhood memories made there, It’s my ‘happy place’. There is a little ferry ride and the beach continues the other side too, the view is amazing and on a good day you can see the Isle of Wight.
Karishma from Mess Around North West London– Fiji Island, Southsea Island
I went for 2 weeks to Fiji and volunteered. It was a life changing experience for me where I learnt so much about myself. You could walk around this Island in 2 minutes. Absolute pureness and happiness!!
Alys from Mess Around Pembrokeshire– Saundersfoot Beach
Spoilt for choice in Pembrokeshire but my favourite has to be Saundersfoot and its only 5 minutes down the road. Crabbing is my sons favourite thing to do.
Sam and Dan from Mess Around North Hampshire– Boscombe Beach
Boscombe beach is a lovely sandy beach with lots of ice cream stands. The girls had a great time, and it wasn’t even a warm day. They were making sand angels at one point!
