September has rolled itself round and if like me you have a child whose started primary school this year you might be wondering where all the time has gone!! August disappeared in a blur of days out and playing (occasionally) in the paddling pool so my August blog has unfortunately become my September one. But…
Hello! Thanks for visiting!
I’m proud mum to Ralf, 4 years old and Flynn 9 months old and have lived in the North since I moved to university from Leicester in 2001. I met my husband and moved to North East Manchester in 2009 and have set up camp in the beautiful hills of the Pennines. I love the area I live in and feel incredibly blessed to live in the countryside yet only a short train journey into the city centre of Manchester. I have worked with children for a long time, albeit slightly older ones as I am also an Art Teacher and have worked in various schools around Manchester. I have also lived abroad for 3 years in Doha, Qatar in the Middle East.
Since having my children I have attended various Mess Around sessions and loved the creativity, textures, sensations, colours and above all mess it allows my children to explore in a safe environment. I have tried to provide opportunities for them at home but a Mess Around session allows them so much more diversity and stimulating sensory play that I struggle to do in my kitchen!
I realised however that needed to travel quite a distance to reach my closest Mess Around session and felt there was an opportunity to bring it to more parents in the Manchester area so am super excited to start my journey with Mess Around. I am looking forward to meeting you all and bringing a wonderful sensory experience to Central and East Manchester.
Hope to see you soon.
