"What is a franchise?"
Essentially it’s your own business using the Mess Around brand and trademarks, with rights to use our proven systems and operations in our successful business model, with training in how to use them. You’ll receive exclusive access to our day-to-day running of a messy play business, as well as support from the head of Mess Around, and shared knowledge from experienced Mess Around franchise owners. Owning a franchise reduces the uncertainty associated with starting your own business, and enables you to set up and start earning straight away.

"How does it work?"
The Mess Around franchise package offers the flexibility of running your own business with the security of a tried and tested model within your own exclusive territory, all backed up with the support of an experienced, friendly and dedicated network. Our Director, Krissy, has mentored franchisees over the last 8 years and has a wealth of experience to share with you to get you up and running as quickly as possible. Your investment secures everything you need to get started, including training, equipment, support and resources.
"What will I be doing?"
You’ll be running your very own Mess Around business. Using our nationally-recognised brand, with countless resources available at your fingertips and access to support services, you’ll launch and run messy play sessions, parties and events in your area. You’ll join our network of friendly and dedicated franchise owners who run their businesses to support their family, alongside paid employment or whilst being a parent. You can enjoy the freedom and flexibility of being your own boss, whilst you’ll receive all the help and support you would lack if you were to go it alone. As many of our franchisees say, it’s the best of both worlds.
"How much can I earn?"
On average a franchisee can turn over between £300 – £500 PER SESSION depending on the size of session delivered. The number of sessions you can deliver will be up to you and your stamina! £500 can be generated by delivering 2 sessions in one day. There are also opportunities to earn from private sessions, parties, workshops, merchandise and our messy play kits.
We operate in a positive cash flow; your initial investment can be earned back in less than 6 months.

This covers everything you need to get started* and includes £1,500 worth of kit, equipment, training and support access. We can give you advice on where to secure funding for the franchise.

Why did you join Mess Around? Becoming a Mum at almost 40 changed me! I previously travelled a lot, partied a lot and was then very career focussed. So had always said I wasn’t going to have children! But when Elliott came along I loved being a Mum SO much that my whole focus has changed – meaning I wanted to do something where I could be at home more, that would fit around family life, would be less stressful and more fun!
I had previously taken Elliott to Mess Around sessions and loved the whole concept, party atmosphere (as none of the Lonigro clan are quiet!) and enjoyed the fact it was something we could do as a whole family.
So when I saw that the franchise opportunity had become available for South Yorkshire I just knew that it was the right thing for me.

After being a primary teacher for twenty years (5 of those as a Deputy Head teacher) I decided I needed to get my work life balance back and spend more time with my children. Mess Around popped up on my Facebook page and I was immediately drawn to it. Teaching early years I see the huge benefits of messy play, being a mum I understand the pain of tidying up afterwards, Mess around is a perfect solution!
