No Paint – No Worries!
All week I have been trying to get some more paint for the girls to use in their craft activities. I have red, blue, yellow and green from our messy play events but the girls have depleted the rest of my colours!
After another failed attempt today I decided to have a go at making my own!
It was so simple – god knows why I haven’t tried this before and probably a lot cheaper too!
Check out how we did it below –
You need – 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of salt and 1 cup of water.
Add them all to a bowl and then mix until smooth.
It does look quite thick but don’t worry. Separate into pots and then add a few drops of food colouring and mix to get the desired colour.
How easy is that! The paint is a little grainier, maybe I needed to whisk it more, but it worked well.
The girls enjoyed painting the air-dried clay that they made a couple of days ago and we have loads left to use another day, we have covered it with cling film but I have seen it put into little squeezy bottles.
Have fun!
